Mondy started his career with KPMG working on audit assignments. He then moved to Maersk Line / Sea-Land China and gradually promoted to head up the Finance & Administration function for China division. During his stay with Maersk Line / Sea-Land, he was chartered to work on various multi-billion projects including bidding of container terminal, redeployment of vessel / feeder services, setting up a 60-tractor company; and, setting up of a WFOE managing 10 branch offices in China.

Mondy then joined Compaq Computer and took up various leadership positions. During his service with the Greater China Division, he held various senior management positions including Director of Consumer Business Unit, Director of Finance & Planning; and, Director of Business Planning. He also acquired diverse experience in finance, business planning, channel management, internet marketing and sales and marketing functions. Besides, he held a general management role running a consumer business unit in China. He was one of the management team members to formulate Long Range Plan for Greater China division; and, actively participated in the company integrations. He was one of the few Greater China executives sponsored to attend a Leadership program at Harvard Business School in US.

Mondy started his professional practice in business advisory with M & A Limited in 2002. The company was incorporated in Hong Kong in 1993. The company provided services in investment / finance services, tax planning, business advisory and consulting work. Mondy and his team has cooperated with Corporate Finance companies instituting projects that included managing a private fund on project finance and investment trading. He had once structured a bank loan with HSBC financing a two-hundred-million service project in Hong Kong. He also acted as an Operation Director and a Chief Financial Officer for multi-nationals stationed in Beijing China during 2006 and 2007. Mondy was instrumental in setting up search engine optimized websites for internet marketing.

Mondy Chan is a qualified certified public accountant. He received his Master degree in Professional Accounting (passed with credit) from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is also a fellow member of both Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, and Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
